Understanding Mandatory Reporting
Each state is different when it comes to reporting Child Abuse. If you are in the state of Nebraska, however, you are a mandatory reporter. This means that if you have reason to suspect child abuse, you are mandated by law to report it. It does not matter if you are in the health or social work profession or an average citizen, you MUST report child abuse!
Please call the Child Abuse Hotline at 1-800-652-1999.
