Fab Four and Curriculum
Family Rescue Services recognizes that one of the components of abuse is unhealthy relationships. That is why we seek to educate and promote healthy relationships.
The Fab Four of healthy relationships includes trust, respect, honesty and fairness. We have developed a six-part curriculum geared towards elementary school students, middle school students, high school students, college students, general audience and parents.
The Foul Four of unhealthy relationships includes humiliation, possessiveness, intimidation and domination. It is important to evaluate the relationships in our lives to see what is healthy and what may need a little work.
Some questions to ask about your relationships include:
Do you trust each other?
Do you respect each others opinions, even when they are different?
Do both parties treat each other fairly and with honesty?
Do you have some privacy?
Do you encourage each other’s interests? |
Or…
Does one person put the other down by name calling or other derogatory remarks?
Does one yell and treat the other like a child?
Does one ever threaten to hurt the other person or something the person cherishes?
Does one ever threaten to commit suicide if they do not get their way?
Does one make all the decisions?
Does one use alcohol or drugs as an excuse for hurtful behavior? |
Keep in mind that Family Rescue Services is here to listen and help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
